This article is about optimisation of content for audience visits. This involves: intuition and a solid digital content strategy with good analytics. Using these tools a developer can observe where a site is failing or/and succeeding and making improvements in iterations and in an Agile Development way, to make it more productive.

In more detail, this involves looking at "Traffic Sources" in the Analytics. Categories to look at are: Organic; Referrals; Direct; as primary metrics.


As secondary metrics, the developer can compare different Google Analytics metrics side by side within a "Content Performance Report View." For example, a website may be getting a lot of traffic, but may only stay a short while viewing the site. Another example would be that the website is getting sufficient page views but a high bounce rate. It is suggested in this article that a remedy for this would be to improve content for better UI/UX user experience.

Week 2: Day 1 of Work Placement at LIT

Week 2 Day 1 of Work Placement at LIT: Started at 9:00 am, checked email, working on OneDrive e-learning video tutorial. Completed audio for parts 3 and 4 and edited same. Changed speed duration of some clips. Added animated "Zoom and Pan," for following the script and focus. I had some time in my lunch break to draw up a sketch of LIT, will trace it out in pencil add water-colour paints, this evening. Worked on learning more about the "blur feature," which is used to scan out confidential information that may otherwise be displayed on the computer screen e.g. users id, photo etc. Applied blur to all relevant areas of the tutorial. Completed e-learning video. Next step is rendering to MP4 tomorrow morning. Finished work at 5:30 pm.
