Week 10: Day 1 of Work Experience at LIT

Week 10
Day 1 of Work Experience at LIT

Email from Supervisor this morning about new videos to assemble:

  • How to use the plotter printer?
  • How to request a training room booking?

I have looked at some u-tube videos on "how to use the plotter printer?" in preparation for training on these video topics.

Here are the links:

These next two videos relate to college use of the plotter printer:

Using the Plotter Printer:
The basic process is to save your file to a memory stick, where you will then upload your file in the computer corresponding to the plotter printer.
Make sure your settings for positioning the paper in the plotter are correct->landscape, portrait orientation; size e.g. A1, A3, A4. (There is a lever at the back of the printer: lever-down when adjusting paper in plotter; lever-up when locking the paper in position.)
Next, printing from the associated computer: select the: printer, the output type and print ok.
The printer now starts printing the document. It first measures the page, drawing page into the printer and out again, and then starts the actual printing.

In my FYP I utilized many of the RSA Design resources. Today I found a link that has all the design preparation resources, especially good for brainstorming, developing ideas, developing content, scenarios checks and prioritizing. This is the source link:

Based on the above skills learned I made a sample Moodle quiz using ATOMI Active Presenter. Questions and answers were added and edited using the "Event Manager." Here, for example, points for answers can be selected, number of attempts, effects added such as sound on correct/incorrect answer. These are screens from my "Export" to "HTML5 Simulation":

1. Opening screen:
2. Click on test button:

3. Question 1 of quiz_after answer is selected_and green colored answer correct feedback flag shown:

4. Question 2_ of quiz_after answer is selected_and answer is incorrect with red flag:

5. Question 3_of quiz:

6.  Question 4_of quiz:

This pattern continues for the nine questions.

7.  Question 9_of quiz:

8. Screen of report that I selected in the setup to show at end of quiz:

9. If I were to Export to LMS SCORM, this is the following screen:

10.  If I were to Export to Tin Can API, this is the following screen:
