Week 3: Day 4 of Work Experience at LIT

Week 3
Day 4 of Work Experience at LIT

Started work at 9:00 am, reviewed plans for the day.

I worked on editing of the IT tutorial video I'm working on.

Found another trick with the "zoom-and-pan" function. Highlight screen-captures and all other effects such as blurs, and apply the zoom to them all at once. In that way, the effects are maintained and do not need to be adjusted when adding zoom functionality to the video. This is both a useful technical and a time saving feature.

Stephen reviewed the video, I have it almost completed now. Next, is to increase the level and opacity of the blur (for covering confidential information on pages being recorded) for the zoomed areas. Add the LIT intro to the start of the video and to add a zoom-out at the very end of tutorial.

I updated Adobe products yesterday, on my home computer, having been getting pop-up notifications this week of "11 Adobe apps to update," took over an hour, nevertheless its the finish of those pop-ups! They're all up to the latest of 2017 standards now, and I downloaded "Adobe Dreamweaver." Stephen was talking about it yesterday as a good Adobe product for creating websites. I had a look at it and indeed it is quite intuitive, with extra functionality for use of HTML and CSS in particular. Next, I'll have a look at some of the tutorials.

Completed video today.
