 Day 1 of Work Placement at LIT

I started work at 9:00 am, checked email, reviewed last weeks work and work for today.

Sent on video made from last week on Microsoft Office OneDrive, to Stephen.

Added information to OneNote about introductory notes to video topics of videos we will be making, shared with David and Stephen.

Camtasia tutorials:
Watched and made notes on key points in the Camtasia advanced tutorials:
1. Editing in depth 1.
2. Editing in depth 2.
3. Recording your IOS Device.

A good tip from video point 3 above: to prevent system audio echoing in the screen-recording->plug in headphones to computer while recording.

Shared on OneNote with Stephen and David a useful Camtasia Hot Keys poster.

Met with Stephen, we have video tutorial on "Moodle," with John, at 3:00 pm, and starting screen-captures tomorrow morning.

I will be watching Camtasia tutorials until that time. Video tutorials watched:
4. Four videos on Camtasia Behaviors.
5. Creating an animated title frame.
6. Creating an animated annotation.
7. Creating an animated scene.

Useful tip from these videos is the Camtasia Library available with sample slides e.g. for title slides.
8. Advanced tutorial on Quizzing and Surveys.

Looked up Lynda.com tutorials for Camtasia:
I focused on tutorial videos about "creating videos using your smartphone," which is a feature we will be using in future e-learning videos.

Watched some Moodle training videos on Lynda.com.
Logged onto the LIT Moodle website and read document for "Quick Start Student Guide to LIT Moodle."

Two hours of Moodle Training with John. We will be creating video tutorials for both students and staff on Moodle, processes and procedures.
