Week 1: Day 5 of Work Placement at LIT

Week 1
Day 5 of Work Placement at LIT:

Started work at 9:00 am. Checked email.  Watched the OneDrive video I was working on yesterday and continued to work on it today.

I applied zoom and pan features, clipping and adjusting speeds of clips to audio and video for the first two parts of this overall video.

Meeting with Supervisor Alan Ryan this morning discussing Work Placement.
The following is a link to the Timetable video I created earlier this week.

Meeting with Stephen, reviewed my work on the OneDrive video. He planned out the next tutorials for David and I to work on. These will be:
What to do with Suspicious Emails.
How to use the Plotter Printer.

I did some work on transferring links between files in OneDrive and this Blog:

1. Upload file to OneDrive.
2. Right click on the file details and select "Get Link."
3. Click "Copy" link.
4. Copy and Paste link into a Word Document (At this point the copied link may be quite long. The next step is to shorten and specify the text that appears in the link.)
5 a. Right click on the link and select "Edit Hyperlink."
5 b. Change the textarea with title "Text to Display" to your choice of text.
6. Click OK.
7. This link can now be copied into the Blog (or another document.)

Continued to work on the OneDrive video where I started on the title slides that would announce each of the four sections of this video tutorial.

In the properties pane, I used the colour picker to select the LIT colour-scheme from its logo, and I made some adjustments. I used a light gray for the border, again in keeping with the LIT colour-scheme.

Then, I added a white font text to link in with that in the introduction, that would link the text to the Computer Services Department. I set a font size of 64pt for the headings and 37pt for the subheadings. I then increased the speed from 1.0x to 2.0x for the typing in of login details.

Next, added the title slides to the video at each relevant section. I did a lot of editing to match up the audio with these additional slides. All title slides completed and added now.

Nearly finished this video, likely completion date is next Monday.
